Kal's Korner 10/14
For the week of 10/14-20

The Word: Matthew 25
One of the members of my former congregation in Oregon shared the following poem with me. I’m passing it on to you.
You have no tongue, O Christ, as once of old,
To tell the story of your love divine;
The story as strange as sweet, as true;
But there’s no tongue to tell it out but mine.
You have no hands, O Christ, as once of old,
To feed the multitudes with bread divine.
You have the living bread, enough for all;
But there’s no hand to give it out but mine.
You have no feet, O Christ, as once of old,
To go where your lost sheep in desert pine.
Your love is still as deep, as strong, as kind;
But now you have no feet to go but mine.
And should I use these ransomed powers and gifts of mine
For things that only minister unto me?
Lord, take my tongue, my hands, my feet, my all;
And let them live, and give and go for thee.
Jesus shares this challenging truth…
Matthew 25:37-40, “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,you did it to me.’” ESV
See you this coming Sunday, Oct. 21 for One Prayer VII – Identity. Don’t miss either at 8:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. Plan on greeting our visiting BVCA Kg-1stgrade students and their families. Walk with them over to the life center for donuts and coffee.
God bless your week
