Kal's Korner 4.22
For the Week of April 22-28, 2018

The Word: Psalm 126
Psalm 126:2-3, “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” 3 The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.” ESV
I came upon this blog from the former president of our Synod, Rev. Gerald Kieschnick. He received it from his wife who received it from a friend!! It’s entitled, The Lighter Side of Life. Here’s a sample. If you want the full post, toss me an email and I will forward it to you!
My goal for 2018 was to lose just 10 pounds. Only 15 more to go!!
- Ate salad for dinner, mostly croutons and tomatoes…actually just one big, round crouton covered with tomato sauce….and cheese. OK, it was a pizza. I ate a pizza!
- How to prepare Tofu: Throw it in the trash and grill some meat.
- I just did a week’s worth of cardio after walking into a spider web.
- A study found that women who carry extra weight live longer than men who mention it.
- A thief broke into my house last night. He started searching for money, so I woke up and searched with him.
Psalm 126:2-3, “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” 3 The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.” ESV
God bless your day

P.S. Pray also for an awesome Financial Workshop coming to St. Paul's called, "The Top Ten Ways to Give to Your Church Without Writing a Check." Presenter David Bennett shared this workshop with our leaders. They have been inspired and moved by his presentation. Put this date on your calendar...Sunday, June 3, 2018, beginning at 11:30 a.m. with lunch!
